Han pasado 10 a\u00f1os desde de la Primera Guerra Carlista de 1833. En un peque\u00f1o pueblo de \u00c1lava, un comisario del gobierno llamado Alfredo investiga un suceso que le lleva hasta una siniestra herrer\u00eda en las profundidades del bosque, donde vive un peligroso y solitario herrero llamado Patxi. Los aldeanos de la zona cuentan oscuras historias sobre \u00e9l relacionadas con robos, asesinatos y pactos demon\u00edacos. Hasta que por casualidad una ni\u00f1a hu\u00e9rfana llamada Usue consigue colarse en la misteriosa herrer\u00eda, destapando la terrible verdad que se esconde tras Patxi el Herrero.
