[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Some 14 films have been screened this week at the Calella Film Festival under two different categories: on the one hand Low Budget, productions costing less than 500,000 euros, and on the other hand, Creative Rosebud, where productions that stand out for their creativity and originality compete with investment of more than 500,000 euros. In addition, the prize for the best Maresme script was also distributed to Josep Santaren and Eloi Tom\u00e1s for their script “Concepci\u00f3n”.<\/p>\n

The Philippine film “Pan de Salawal”<\/strong> -which has also received the award for best screenplay- has been the most awarded at this year’s Calella Film Festival. It competed in the Low Budget category and the best film chosen by the public and the jury coincided, apart from the best screenplay. Its director Che Espiritu intervened in a recorded video and was very satisfied.<\/p>\n

In the same Low Budget category, the German actors Nyamandi Adrian and Jannik Schumann have also been awarded for the film “Deine Farbe”<\/strong>, which has also won the award for best direction.<\/p>\n

The Spanish actress, Silvia Acosta, has received the she-wolf as best actress for the feature film shot in Seville “Una vez m\u00e1s”<\/strong>, which has also received the award for best Low Budget screenplay, collected by the screenwriter Guillermo Rojas. The jury has also considered awarding a mention for best direction to David Ruiz and Albert Valencia for the Catalan feature film “Sant Mart\u00ed”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the other hand, in the category of Creative Rosebud, the most awarded film was “Peanut Butter Falcon”<\/strong>, this American feature film takes the wolf for best actor for Shia LaBeouf and for best direction for Tyler Nilson and Mike Schwartz. On the other hand, the Irish film “Vivarium” takes the statuette for best actress and the French film “Les Hirondelles de Kaboul”<\/strong> enjoys the award for best screenplay. The best film has been “Bacurau”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lastly, this year an award dedicated to screenwriters has been incorporated that rewards, on the one hand, the best original script from the Maresme, which went to the script for “Concepci\u00f3n”, by Josep Santaren and the arenyenc Eloi Tom\u00e1s, endowed with a prize of 600 euros sponsored by the Costa Barcelona-Maresme Tourism Promotion Consortium, an administrative body that controls the Maresme Film Commission. The best screenplay was also awarded for “La Viga” by N\u00e1yade de G\u00f3mez.<\/p>\n
