Specifically, it was recognized for its screenplay\u2014also written by Bayrak\u2014for Bayrak\u2019s work as director, and as Best Film. In this section, actress Beatriz Arjona was also awarded for <em>Solos en la noche<\/em>, and Ibrahima Kone received recognition for his leading role in <em>Te proteger\u00e1n mis alas<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <em>Diamanti<\/em>, by Ferzan \u00d6xpetek, won Best Film in the Creative Rosebud section, which has no budget limit. Another standout in this category was <em>No dogs allowed<\/em>, which received awards for Stephan K\u00e4mpf\u2019s screenplay and Carlo Krammling\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n<p>Also notable in this category were awards for Olga Alam\u00e1n, for <em>La invasi\u00f3 dels b\u00e0rbars<\/em>, and Avi Federgreen, director of <em>Home Free<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Albert Guinart, co-director of the Maresme Film Festival, stated: \u201cThis year we received around 350 films from all over the world, covering a wide range of themes. The only thing they have in common is the budget. Our quality standards are very high. In fact, there were many cases of double and triple ties. That\u2019s because the films are really good.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Maresme Film Festival awards ceremony took place this Saturday at Sala Mozart in Calella, during a gala themed around Harry Potter.
