Low Budget Films, will compete the selected films as the best productions of the year in the international area, with an investment of less than 500,000 euros.
\nThe way both to produce and to diffuse the contents are changing, the distribution and the means of consumption are also changing radically.<\/p>\n

Big productions are available to very few professionals and the new generations have to adapt and get finalized feature films with low budgets, financed largely by small producers, friends, family and crowfunding funds.<\/p>\n

The festival wants to value these productions and reward the enormous effort that represents to go forward projects so ambitious and exciting.
\nFrom the festival of Calella we have the purpose of giving diffusion to these films that have not counted with the resources of a great producer nor with the ones of public subsidies that year a year have been decreasing.<\/p>\n

But that if they have had the push of a director, for which the most important thing is to get their story forward and with this objective has convinced a multitude of people in the sector, producers, directors of photography, art, actors, editors and others professionals and friends because they help him in this pharaonic task, in which everyone contributes his talent, often without remuneration.<\/p>\n

The objective of this competitive section will be to give voice and reward these young professionals who make it possible for us to enjoy these fantastic stories where talent and creativity end up breaking the barriers of economic restrictions.<\/p>\n

The most important thing is not how you explain it, but the background of which you explain.<\/p>\n
