Begin to learn about literature, comics and cinema, especially fantasy. He is an avid reader of mythology and traditional stories.In 2008 he graduated in Fine Arts and began making audiovisuals, illustrations and infographics professionally, and began writing and making fiction and animated short films.In 2016 he wrote, produced and directed his first feature film, <em>Errementari<\/em>, a fantastic film based on the story &#8220;Patxi Errementaria&#8221;, winner of the Best Film award at the Calella Film Festival in 2019. His second feature film, <em>IRATI<\/em> (2022), is a epic film based on Basque mythology and the medieval history of the Basque Country.Both films, directed and written by Paul, have won more than 100 national and international awards and have been selected more than 400 times worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>He also writes and directs several short films: <em>Dar-dar<\/em> 2020, <em>Naara<\/em> 2015, <em>El bosque negro<\/em> 2013, <em>Los monstruos no existen<\/em> 2011, <em>Debajo de la cama Zera<\/em> 2010, <em>Jugando con la muerte<\/em> 2010, <em>Cuchillo, McGregor y el\u00a0Vasco<\/em> 2008, <em>El pez plomo<\/em> 2007<em>, Iltzeak\/Clavos<\/em> 2005.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text] [\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;9909&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text] Paul Urkijo Film director from Vitoria-Gasteiz, born in 1984 and passionate about drawing and stories since he was little.
